<p>The term was metioned for the first time around 1963 and lately published (1965) by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Nelson" target="_blank">Ted Nelson</a>.</p>
<p>Hypertext is text which is not constrained to be linear. It&#8217;s a relationship between two anchors [<a href="http://www.w3.org/Terms.html#anchor" target="_blank">2</a>], stored in the same or different database [<a href="http://www.w3.org/Terms.html#database" target="_blank">3</a>]. It&#8217;s a text displayed on a computer which contain hyperlinks [<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlinks" target="_blank">4</a>] to other texts which the user immediately can access, usually by a mouse click or by keypress. When you select an object, you can see all the other objects that are linked to it. You can jump from one objects or text to another even though they might have very different forms like tables, images, music, video and so on. Each of them can be creatively linked to each other. The most extensive example of hypertext today is the World Wide Web [<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wide_Web" target="_blank">5</a>].</p>
