The energy is in the air. Sun, wind, waves, the energy is there and we just have to learn how to catch it more and more effective. May all be excited of all the new high-technology widgets and toys today but don’t we miss something. All they use power… usually electricity, or oil. We are spending years of digging holes in our planet in search of the “black gold” – the power of our modern society and the major pillar of the world economy today. Our new medias often are depending of technology that spending energy to work. With other words our new media projects are feed with energy… not only our energy, but as a resource. So lets not look so much down, but up in the sky and start dreaming… with one of those dreamers that have unique mind, the inventor of the so called Kinetic sculptures Theo Yansen.

Theo Yansen is a demonstration how the design innovations can be realized through different channels. He use the kinetic laws and wind power to give a life to his creatures and to explore the territories that never been explored until now to achieve his goals. Who know, some day this inventions or their idea could be used for something big, which can change our point of view for the power supplement in the world.

Some designers already use the power of the sun, and in particular, in the kitchen like this parabolic solar stove. Other use the power of the wave to produce electricity around the cost of Portugal like this wave snake called Pelamis around Aguçadoura.
